It is currently known that UVB values between 75mW/cm2 and 250mW/cm2 form a safe margin. The advice is therefore to mount the UV lamp in such a way that this value is available on the sun spot (basking spot). With this we advise to keep a minimum distance of 45 cm and as the lamp ages the distance can be shortened to 30 cm. One must take into account the amount of heat that is transferred by the lamp on the animal.
