When it comes to turtles, there is a wide variety of species but without a doubt the best known are the Hermanni and Testudo horsfieldii. In the wild, both species emerge from hibernation and roam the vast meadows of their biotope. With this in mind we have introduced a new flavor in the HabiStat Tortoise Food range, Meadow Mix, brings the flavor of the pastures found in their natural environment. Feeding instructions:
Wet to soft and replaced daily. Store in a cool, dry place. Food should be offered every day to young turtles (up to 3 years old) and older turtles every other day. Turtles are grazers and will return to the food source provided for them during the day. Don’t worry if they don’t eat all the food during their first session, but check their daily intake. Make sure that fresh water is always available for the turtle, because contrary to popular belief, a turtle drinks water.
