High-quality brood substrate for all your reptile eggs. Immerse completely in water for a short time, then let it out for a while leak in colander / sieve. The substrate releases moisture evenly without wetting the eggs. Unlike perlite/vermiculite and the like, you can’t make it too wet! For best results, let the substrate in the incubator come up to temperature in the incubator. This way you already have the brood substrate at temperature when the eggs are there! If necessary, provide the tray with air holes as you normally do. If the substrate becomes too dry, the color changes, this rarely happens under normal circumstances, but can of course happen with certain eggs that have to lie for a very long time, or if fans are used and the like. In this case, it is best to place the eggs in a freshly made container of substrate that is at temperature! If you follow these simple instructions and the eggs are of course fertilized, little can go wrong!
