The Exo Terra Jungle Earth is a 100% natural, biodegradable substrate made from sustainable wood bark. Jungle Earth is a decorative substrate that is ideal for setting up natural terrariums for moisture-loving reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. The hygroscopic properties regulate the humidity in the terrarium in a natural way by absorption on the one hand and the slow release of moisture on the other. The finely chopped pieces of pine bark stimulate natural digging and nesting behavior, and allow your reptiles to dig out sturdy nesting passages similar to their natural shelters. Exo Terra Jungle Earth is treated with heat to limit bacterial contamination.

Manual:
Lay a layer of 3-5 cm of bark on the bottom of the terrarium. Water the substrate according to the desired humidity level. Use an Exo Terra Hygrometer to measure humidity. To increase the humidity in well-ventilated terrariums or in terrariums that require extra high humidity, an Exo Terra heat mat can be placed under the terrarium. Remove the contaminated spots daily, and replace the entire substrate as needed.
