Product Description

What grower of fruit flies does not know the problem of mites?

These small parasites can seriously disrupt or destroy the food cultures. Especially in the summer months, when temperatures rise, the mite problem regularly rears its head. Whether it concerns “the fast racing mite” or “the thick ball mite”, both cause a rapid decline in fruit fly cultivation. Often we lovers have no choice but to start again with a mite-free food cultivation, in a different place in the house, separated from the old food cultures to prevent reinfection.

There is now a solution to this problem: NO-MITE!

NO-MITE is a 100% biological agent against mites such as predatory mites, pellet mites etc. The main component of NO-MITE is diatomaceous earth supplemented with various types of herbs that have an anti-parasitic effect.

The structure of diatomaceous earth causes the exoskeleton of the mites to be irreparably damaged. This will dry out the mites.

The added herbs of NO-MITE have a strong, pungent smell that have a deterrent effect on the mites.

NO-MITE is also good to use for the control of mites in the enclosure of e.g. snakes, lizards, turtles, birds and rodents etc. by scattering NO-MITE over the infected soil.

NO-MITE is very effective and is safe for humans and animals.

USE:
Put a teaspoon of NO-MITE in an empty jar. Put the fruit flies at the NO-MITE and shake this so that the flies are well powdered. NO-MITE kills the mites. Before transferring the powdered flies to the new food bottom, you can separate the flies and the excess powder by means of a sieve. Our advice is not to throw the excess powder back into your jar of NO-MITE because of the dead mites.

Because NO-MITE is not harmful to the fruit flies and our animals (fruit flies quickly get rid of NO-MITE and are not bothered by it), you can use it indefinitely when you grow new fruit flies. However, we advise not to feed NO-MITE directly to your animals.

TIP:
Powder the spot or shelf on which you put the new fruit fly culture ALSO with NO-MITE.

This prevents any mites still present in your hobby room from re-infecting the new fruit fly culture. NO-MITE is very strong moisture absorbent.

Because the moisture content in our hobby rooms is quite high, it is advised to remove the old NO-MITE with each new fruit fly culture and to powder the spot or shelf again with NO-MITE.

NO-MITE has an unlimited shelf life as long as no moisture is added.
